Ingredients:
Maida - 1 1/2 cup
Soda-bi-carb - 1/4 spoon
Baking salt - 1 tea spoon
Coco powder - 1/4 cup
Milk powder - 3/4 cup
White butter - 3/4 cup
Sugar powder - 3/4 cup
Orange powder - 1 table spoon(Optional)
Vanilla essance - 1/4 spoon
Milk - 1 - 1 1/2 cups
1. Add together maida, baking salt and soda-bi-carb and sieve atleast 2 times.
2. Add coco powder and milk powder to the maida mixture and mix well.
3. In a bowl take sugar powder and butter and beat till they become frothy.
4. Add the maida mixture to this sugar butter mixture and mix well.
5. Add milk little by little and make it into a thick and slightly flowy dough.
6. Remember that it should not be as flowy as dosa past or as tight as roti dough.
7. Grease cake dish with butter and then dust it with maida.
8. Add this cake batter to the dish and bake till done.
9. Check by poking a knife into the cake and if the mixture does not stick to the knife its done.
10.In a basic model microwave it take some 6 - 8 mins.
11.Allow the cake to cool, place a plate on the top of the cake dish and reverse and tap the bottom of the dish gently.
12.It comes out easily. Serve with tea.
This can also made in pressure cooker.
1. First spread 1 inch of sand inside the pressure cooker and heat for 5 mins.
2. Place the cake dish inside the cooker. Remember the dish should be of aluminium.
3. Cover the pressure cooker with a heavy tawa.
4. Cook for 25 - 30 mins.
5. You can open the cooker in between and poke a knife and if the cake does not stick to the edges then the cake is done.
6. Remove the dish from the cooker and allow it to cool.
7. Reverse it in a plate and gently tap the bottom and your cake is ready.
